From August 17 to 24, 2024, the residents of Málaga will experience the enchanting atmosphere of one of Spain’s most eagerly anticipated fairs. This exciting event will fill the city with cheers, joy, and unforgettable moments. This year’s fair will officially begin with a midnight fireworks show on 16th August, Friday.

What is Feria de Málaga?

It is also known as “Feria de Agosto” which translates to “The August Fair”. The origin of this fair traces back to the city's recapture by the Catholic Monarchs in August 1487.

The fair consists of a wide range of events, from performances to concerts, that take place every year in August. In time, the fair has evolved into a major cultural event that attracts visitors from all around to experience Malaga’s unique charm during this festive season. This glamorous fair blends tradition with modern flair, marking the close of summer with a spectacular array of celebrations.

2024 Málaga Fair Program

The official opening ceremony will take place on the beaches of La Malagueta. Various locations across the city will host diverse events and activities during the festivities. Day Fair (Feria de Día)

Each night, the fairgrounds will host concerts featuring top Spanish artists, ensuring a lively atmosphere until the early morning hours.

Which Events Will be Held in the Feria de Málaga 2024?

On the same night at 11:50 p.m., the light show with drones will take place in Málaga port, followed by a pyromusical show.

Various local artists and music groups will perform during the fair, including renowned singer-songwriter Juan Gomez “El Kanka”, Peña Juan Breva, and Hermanas Alarcón. On the day fairs, along with musical performances, the traditional commemorations will be organized as well. These include small traditions such as floral offerings to the major churches of the town.

The renowned comedian Manolo Sarria will carry the Málaga Flag during the Pilgrimage event on August 17th. Along with these organizations; several plays and musicals will be performed at theatres, exhibitions will welcome art enthusiasts, and magic workshops and performances will be displayed.
